Rafael Nadal je obezbedio plasman u polufinale Mastersa u Rimu. U duelu Španaca, drugoplasirani na ATP listi eliminisao je Fernanda Verdaska sa 6:4 i 6:0. Meč je trajao sat i 39 minuta. Za plasman u finale, Nadal će igrati protiv Stefanosa Cicipasa kome je Rodžer Federer predao bez borbe.
