Rodžer Federer nije odigrao meč četvrtfinala Mastersa u Rimu, pošto je predao i pre početka. Tako se Stefanos Cicipas plasirao u polufinale turnira u Italiji bez borbe. Nedugo posle odluke o povlačenju oglasio se i švajcarski teniser.
