Serbian court rules in favour of bank clients

Serbia’s top appeals court has confirmed that banks have been illegally charging clients for loan processing costs, the Efektiva association of bank clients said on Friday.

“Banks have finally lost their battle to prove that they were right to charge for loan data processing because the Supreme Court confirmed its ruling that banks can only charge for those costs if they are real and if the client is clearly informed beforehand and is not in any way deceived about the expenses,” >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Efektiva said in a statement. t said that banks in Serbia have taken 10 of millions of Euros from their clients for the processing of loans over the past 15 years. “Clients can now sue to get the money back with interest,” Efektiva said.
