No more reason for confidence in KFOR, Vucic says
In a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Belgrade Serbia’s President described the latest Pristina special police action as “the most vigorous attempt to jeopardise the survival of Kosovo’s Serbs and that there was no more reason to trust the NATO-led KFOR," the Beta news agency reported.
A statement form Aleksandar Vucic’s office said he told Alexander Chepurin Serbia would continue to act thoughtfully >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and responsibly in this situation, adding NATO-led KFOR statement about the ROSU special police unit movements were fabrications.
The statement added that Vucic and the Prime Minister Ana Brnabic thanked Chepurin for understanding what was going on in Kosovo and to what extent the regional peace and stability were in danger.
Chepurin was quoted as saying that the Russian leadership carefully followed the situation in Kosovo and that he believed that Serbia, as a serious state, would know how to responsibly handle the provocations and threats of confrontation.
Before meeting Chepurin, Vucic and Brnabic talked to the Chinese ambassador about the Kosovo police action early on Friday during which four Serbs were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the January 16 assassination of Oliver Ivanovic who led a Kosovo Serb party which did not have Belgrade’s support.
