Kosovo’s PM: Police act in line with law, no politics
Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo’s Prime Minister said on Friday the special police intervention in the northern part of the divided Mitrovica town during which four Serbs were arrested, was in line with the law and had no links to politics whatsoever, the FoNet news agency reported.
"Upon the Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s order, police operation associated >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << with the arrest of several suspects in the murder of (a Serb) politician Oliver Ivanovic was conducted in the north of Kosovo. The operation is entirely legal and has no links to any political event,” Haradinaj wrote on his Facebook profile.
He called on people, political parties, mayors and “especially those in the north,” mostly populated by the Kosovo Serbs, to preserve peace and stability.
“I want to assure all the citizens that the state of Kosovo and its forces have never been and will never be against any ethnic or political group. It is important not to fall for disinformation,” Haradinaj wrote.
