Kosovo PM Haradinaj says police operation not political
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj tweeted that Friday‘s operation by the ROSU police unit in northern Kosovo was not political and was in line with the law under instructions from the Special Prosecutor.
"Today, with the request of the Special Prosecution a police operation was conducted in the north of Kosovo related to the detention of some suspects for the murder of politician Oliver Ivanovic. This police >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << operation was in full compliance with the law, according to the Special Prosecution‘s request and is in no way related to any political development,“ Haradinaj wrote on his Twitter account.
He assured „all citizens that the state and its law enforcement bodies will never and in no way be directed against any ethnic or political group“ and called „citizens, political subjects, mayors, especially those in the north and other bodies, to contribute to the maintenance and advancement of public order in the service of peace and stability”.
Haradinaj warned about misinformation, saying that “it is of great importance that no one falls prey to misinformation of any kind”.
