Senator Johnson meets Serbian FM Dacic

US Senator Ron Johnson met in Belgrade on Monday with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

Johnson, who chairs the Senate Commiteee on Homeland Security and the Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, is in Serbia as part of a regional tour of the Western Balkans which includes visits to Kosovo and Macedonia.

The senator >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << told Dacic that the US want to support Serbia in its efforts to normalize the regional situation because that will contribute to the prosperity of the entire Western Balkans, the press release said.

The VOA reported that Johnson is a close associate of President Donald Trump, adding that he is expected to provide assistance in the next stage of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

The Serbian foreign minister is quoted as saying that the two countries should focus on the many things that link them and their people.
