Serbia's opposition leader: No compromise over freedom
Serbia‘s opposition leader Cedomir Jovanovic said on Wednesday that there should not be a compromise or any talks about the defence of freedom.
A statement from his Liberal-Democratic Party (LDP) quoted him as saying that it was good that the Interior Ministry had banned an ultra-nationalist rally planned to prevent the „Mirëdita, dobar dan,“ (good day in English) festival which the Youth Initiative for Human Rights organises in Belgrade from Wednesday to Friday.

"The violence which Vojislav Seselj, (the Leader of the Serbian Radical Party and a convicted war criminal), has been advocating for days is an expression of his weakness and a wish to occupy public space by provoking scandals and calling for a lynch of all those who do not follow his thinking," Jovanovic said.
He added that the „Mirëdita, dobar dan“ (good day in English) festival was an opportunity for those who love Serbia to show a different attitude toward the cooperation and linkage between the Serbs and the Albanians.
“It is, therefore, important that both republic’s and city’s officials show up at the opening night and support the gathering of Belgrade and Pristina young people,” Jovanovic said, adding that “an obligation of every individual is to support them because the defence of freedom is something about there is no compromise or any talks.”
