Slain Kosovo Serb’s party urges investigation
The party of the assassinated Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic, the Citizens’ Initiative SDP, urged on Tuesday all investigative services and especially the Eulex, the European Union’s legal body in Kosovo, to intensify the probe into the January 16 murder.
In a statement, they appealed to both Belgrade's and Pristina's institutions “to use their authority and not allow that the perpetrators remain anonymous and unpunished.”

We have been warning that that will be the case since the day of the assassination, but now we are almost certain that nothing is being done to find those responsible,” the party’s statement said.
It added that the party and Kosovo’s Serbs were confused with the statements from both Belgrade and Pristina in which the respective authorities blamed each other for hiding information that could make a break in the investigation.
“We have to ask ourselves whether Belgrade and Pristina know something which they intently hide from both us and the investigation? Or they are just statements for daily political use, while Ivanovic’s murder is of no one’s serious concern,” the statement added.
Ivanovic was gunned down outside his party’s HQ on January 16. Before his assassination, Ivanovic was charged with war crimes by Pristina, while Belgrade labelled him a traitor to Serbs’ interest.
After the murder, both sides accuse each other of tempering the investigation.
