Dodik won't open office in Sarajevo if he wins the election

Bosnian Serb leader, Milorad Dodik, who is running for the post in Bosnia's state Presidency, said on Tuesday he would not have an office in Sarajevo, the country's capital city if he wins the election.

Dodik, currently acting as the President of Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity, Republika Srpska (RS), said he would keep two permanent offices – in Banja Luka and Istocno Sarajevo, both located in the RS.

“That's where my cabinets will be situated. I don't plan >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << to have one in Sarajevo, it's not necessary. I will go to meetings from time to time, but I don't plan to be there. I will install a few of our people in Sarajevo, simply to have them there,” he added.

Dodik is also a leader of the Alliance for the Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), the ruling party in the RS entity but the opposition at the state level. He said if wins the October election, he will not be dealing with “trivial matters.”

“Our main topic is the positioning of Republika Srpska at Bosnia and Herzegovina level. As far as we're concerned Republika Srpska will be the number one there,” Dodik added.

Bosnia's citizens will cast their vote in the general election on October 7. They will elect members of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency, entity presidents and vice presidents as well as the members of the state, entity and cantonal parliaments.

The election will be carried out in a peaceful and fair manner, Dodik said, adding that citizens would vote for, as he said, the patriotic bloc gathered around the SNSD.

“I can simply feel that and my intuition never let me down,” he said.
