Pristina’s Appeal Court confirmed the first instance suspended sentences for four opposition parliamentarians accused of using tear gas during the parliament session and obstructing police, the Beta news agency reported on Tuesday.

The forth MP Donika Kadaj Bujupi, a member of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK),  was sentenced to 18 months suspended for two years.

The group threw tear gas during the parliamentary discussion on the demarcation with Montenegro in March.

The agreement with Montenegro was later reached.

All four are bitter opponents of Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci and his negotiations with Serbia’s head of state Aleksandar Vucic on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Kadaj Bujupi is a member of the party headed by Kosovo’s Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who also opposes Thaci's idea of border correction with Serbia as a solution in the dialogue.
