Serbia is Russia’s reliable partner
Serbia has demonstrated that it is a reliable partner of the Russian Federation and has never opposed its interests, President Aleksandar Vucic told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during a meeting at the Kremlin on Tuesday.
“Serbia will maintain its independence, Serbia will maintain its military neutrality and Serbia is not going to become a member of NATO, or any other military alliance,” the Serbian President said.
The Presidents of Russia and >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Serbia discussed cooperation between the two countries and joint investment projects during their meeting, the Russian president’s press service said, adding that Vucic is in Moscow to attend Victory Day celebrations. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic also discussed topical regional issues, the press release said, adding that this was Putin’s first meeting with another head of state following his inauguration on Monday.
Putin said that Russia and Serbia are marking 180 years of diplomatic relations, recalling that they shared the struggle against a common enemy during World War 2.
Both Putin and Vucic voiced satisfaction with the growth of trade between the two countries
