Serbia’s minister: If country is ready, it will join EU
Jadranka Joksimovic, Serbia’s Minister for European Integration said on Friday that if a country, Serbia for example, was ready, it would join the EU regardless of the bloc’s new budget until 2027 which did not allocate money for the enlargement.
She told Belgrade Politika daily that the fund for the enlargement was not envisaged because no country was ready for the entry.
The EU Strategy on the Western Balkans said that Serbia and Montenegro, the countries that had improved the most on the path to the European Union could join the bloc in 2025.
