Serbian PM Brnabic ends visit to Washington

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told Senator Tom Cotton that her visit to Washington has stimulated an improvement of relations between Serbia and the United States, the Beta news agency reported on Friday.

Brnabic ended her visit to the US with a speech at the International Republic Institute and a meeting with memebrs of the American-Israeli public affairs committee, a government press release said adding >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << that they discussed the European integration process, economic reforms, digitalization, education and strengthening institutions and the rule of law.

Brnabic and Cotton agreed that military cooperation was good and cited the example of cooperation between the Army of Serbia (VS) and Ohio National Guard. The press release added that the Prime Minister discussed military cooperation with Ohio Congressman Steve Stivers, a brigadier general in the Ohio Army National Guard who is next in line to chair the Congressional Serbian American Caucus who told Brnabic he plans to expand that body and its activities.

  Brnabic led a government delegation on the visit to Washington to mark the 100th anniversary of a message by then US President Woodrow Wilson about the suffering of the Serbian nation in World War I and the raising of the Serbian flag over the White House.
