Belgrade - Moscow talks on economy, regional tensions

The agenda of the forthcoming meeting between Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic and his host Russia’s head of state Vladimir Putin will include the general economic and trade issues and the political tensions in the region, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.

“The meeting was planned several months ago and is not related to the rise in tensions in the region,” Dimitry Peskov, Kremlin’s spokesperson said.

He added that the encounter would be a continuation >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << of the regular contacts between the two countries’ leadership.

“This country (Serbia) is our partner,” Peskov said.

Earlier, Kremlin said that Putin and Vucic, scheduled to meet on Tuesday in Moscow, would talk about the development of the bilateral relations and regional and international issues.

The meeting will be the third in four years.

Last time, Putin and Vucic met in May, while Russian President was in Belgrade in October 2014, for the military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade during the World War II.
