NATO has no plans to change or reduce its forces in Kosovo but if a military is formed Alliance member states will decide whether to pull out their troops or not, KFOR commander General Salvatore Cuoci told Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti.

"The forming of armed forces is a decision for Kosovo institutions under constitutional procedures. If a military >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << is formed, the Alliance member states will decide on whether KFOR should remain in Kosovo,” the Italian general said, adding that at present NATO has no plans on changing or reducing its mission.

Asked if KFOR would train personnel of the existing Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), Cuoci said that KFOR “supports the development and improvement of the capacities of the KSF which should be capable of reacting in crisis situations”.
