Serbia to Participate in the 3rd World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction
14-18 March 2015, Sendai, JapanBelgrade, 13.03.2015. - The Government of Serbia has launched earlier this month the National Programme for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction, with the objective to build long-term resilience and minimize risks from future disasters. Next week, Serbia will also take an active role in the 3rd United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, which will be held from 14 to 18 March 2015, in the city of Sendai, Japan, part of the Tohoku region heavily affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of 11 March 2011.
