Belgrade gets new City Parliament
More than two months after the local elections, Belgrade on Wednesday got a new assembly led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the ruling force in the country and the winner in the March local vote.
The election of city’s officials and the assembly’s bodies marks the 30-day deadline for electing a city’s mayor who will also come from the SNS ranks, the party has said.

The members of the opposition Alliance for Serbia left the session saying they did not want to listen to the insults by the ruling party’s representatives.
