Serbian president expects changes in ruling party

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that he expects significant changes in his ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the next year in preparation for elections.

“I am expecting significant changes in the party in 2019 and preparations for elections in 2020 when I expect the people who take over the party to secure a majority for the benefit of our country,” the SNS leader told reporters after a visit to a children’s hospital in Belgrade which >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << was headed by Belgrade’s current Mayor Zoran Radojicic who stood in the elections on the SNS ticket.

The SNS has scheduled a meeting of its main board for Monday, September 24 with part of the meeting open to the media before continuing behind closed doors.
