Nije izgledalo kao da će biti ovakav meč.Ćiro Imobile je promašio veliku šansu za Lacio već u drugom minutu, a šest minuta kasnije Đovani Simeone doveo je domaćina u vođstvo.
Kaljari je do kraja meča bio bolji rival, a Naingolan i Žoao Pedro su propustili velike šanse za domaćina. Sergej Milinković-Savić je odigrao ceo meč za svoj tim u meču završenom pobedom Lacija 2:1.
