EU’s Hahn: Additional money for Western Balkans
The Western Balkans will receive 30 percent more money from the European Union’s funds, Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement, said on Thursday.
He added that Brussels would increase the pre-accession aid to 14 from 12.5 billion Euros for the candidate and potential candidate states on their road to the EU.
Hahn said the boost would come from the >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << 20121 – 2027 Union’s budget, adding it would “mostly go to the Western Balkans.”
“The novelty is that we will pay more attention to projects than to countries’ specifics. That will enable us to be more creative and build competitiveness on the ground and give the candidate states an incentive to move forward at a higher speed,” Hahn said.
