EU chief in Serbia: Economy doing well, more efforts needed
Sem Fabrizi, the head of the European Union delegation in Belgrade, said on Monday that Serbia was prosperous in the economy in general, but that it still had to put more effort in its reforms, N1 reported.
He said that Serbia had a stable place within the EU enlargement process and that Belgrade was recognised as a leader in the Western Balkans.
Fabrizi added the EU also recognised the commitment >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << by Serbia’s authorities to creating the market-oriented economy.
“Generally, Serbia was assessed positively, particularly in the economy… but additional efforts are needed to improve the business environment, to fight corruption and grey economy more rigorously, to reconstruct public enterprises and to reform public administration,” Fabrizi said.
