Danish experts will help digitalising Serbia
The European Commission declared Denmark the most digitalised country in the EU and their experts will soon come to Serbia to educate local staff and pass on their experience in easing people’s life regarding administration.
The Kingdom of Denmark’s envoy to Serbia Anders Christian Hougård told N1 morning show that people in his country can change addresses or submit tax papers online.

In that way, we economise a lot, and all data are at the authorities’ disposal,” he said.
Hougård said that Serbia has a digitalisation strategy which is one of Prime Minister Ana Brnabic’s and the EU Strategy ’s main priorities.
He added that Belgrade had a strong partnership with Nordic countries, the most digitalised in Europe.
The envoy said his embassy was in contact with Serbia’s ministries to decide what kind of expertise is particularly needed in the further digitalisation in the country.
Speaking of the bilateral relations, the ambassador said he was surprised that Danish companies were among the most prominent investors in Serbia, mostly in the export-oriented sectors which, as he put it, additionally strengthen the host country’s economy.
Hougård added that Denmark was one of the loudest advocates of the EU enlargement and that Serbia’s was a part of the accession process thanks to its achievements.
