EULEX completes investigations into whistleblower judge
The European Union has completed three investigations into the activities of a British judge who made claims of corruption within the EULEX mission but will not be publishing the findings, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.
Judge Malcolm Simmons said he was being investigated out of revenge because he made accusations against the European Union rule of law mission in Kosovo. He said the claims made against him came >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << from the people he accused of corruption.
Simmons resigned from EULEX in November 2017 after making accusations of corruption, political interference in court cases and hacker attacks on his e-mail account.
The mission said that the judge’s claims were being investigated along with what it said were serious accusations against him.
An EU spokesman, who insisted on anonymity, confirmed that a disciplinary commission completed its three investigations against the judge who served in EULEX from 2008 and was chief judge from 2014 to the time he resigned last year.
