Serbian PM says her cabinet moved country forward

The government has moved society and the country forward in the past year, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told Thursday’s news conference attended by her entire cabinet in the northern city of Subotica.

“The government remains committed to dialogue as the only way to reach a sustainable compromise and membership in the European Union is Serbia’s main foreign policy goal,” the Prime Minister said.

“It’s important for me to say that we as the government >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << are on the same team as President Aleksandar Vucic and his team and we are continuing the reforms started by his government together,” Brnabic. The government needs to give its full support to the president while the offensive over Kosovo is underway, she said.

The government has continued economic reforms as well as reforms of the public administration, it has maintained financial discipline and continued important infrastructure projects. The clinical centre in Nis has been completed and the National Museum and Museum of Modern Art have been opened,” she said.

Brnabic denied ever saying that she was dissatisfied with the work of her ministers but that she said things can always be done better. “We can do a better job but I am fully satisfied with the work of the government,” the Prime Minister said adding that the government will remain strong despite a desire by others to talk of a reshuffle. She said that it’s not right to talk about a reshuffle at a time when Kosovo is being discussed.
