Subotica was shaken at the time by great uncertainty that there was a residual bomb in the Palic lake from NATO bombing. 

Official documents show that there are no bombs left in the lake, on the other side, divers and military experts claim that mud covered a half a ton projectile, which can be activated by lightning.
