Croatia received a NEW PUBLIC WARNING from European Union
Croatia has received a new, this time a public warning for failing to implement the new law on smoking, according to Croatian media.
Besides Croatia, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden received warnings, reports "Dnevnik.hr", reminding that all countries should incorporate EU directive on tobacco in the laws until 20 May.
Member States have a deadline of two months to inform the Commission of measures >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Telegraf.rs << taken to address the issue.
Otherwise, the Commission may decide to refer these cases to the Court of the EU.

The European Commission has sent a reasoned opinion to Cyprus, Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden inviting them to submit notifications of full transposition of the Directive on tobacco products.
The aim of these measures is to improve the functioning of the common tobacco market and related products while ensuring a high level of health protection for European citizens.
The Directive stipulates that the deadline for transposition of its provisions into national law is May 20, 2016.
So far, Sweden has informed the Commission of partial transposition of the Directive, and there have been no notifications from Cyprus, Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Spain.
