Trump reinstates sanctions against Iran
US President Donald Trump signed a memorandum re-instating sanctions against Iran and pulling Washington out of the Iran nuclear agreement on Tuesday.
“I am announcing that the US will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal and I will sign a memorandum to reinstate the highest level of economic sanctions against Iran,” Trump told reporters >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << at the White House.
He said the US and its allies will try to find a lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear threat and will not allow the Iranian regime access to the most deadly weapons on earth.
“The so-called Iran deal was supposed to protect the US and allies but it allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium. This deal should never have been made,” the US president said, adding the agreement allowed the Iranian authorities access to billions of Dollars which he claims were used to develop nuclear-capable missiles. “If I allowed the deal to stand there would be a nuclear race in the Middle East,” President Trump said.
