Merkel, Trump discuss Western Balkans
German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the situation in the Western Balkans with US President Donald Trump, a federal government spokesman said on Monday.
A press release quoted spokesman Steffen Seibert as saying that Merkel and Trump discussed “current international challenges and trade issues”.
Seibert added that they also discussed the situation in Ukraine and in the Western Balkans but provided no other details of the phone conversation.
