Serbian PM: Compromise has to be found on Kosovo
Recognition and insisting that Kosovo belongs to Serbia are not compromise solutions, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday, adding that a compromise solution has to be found.
“Kosovo was Serbia. Period. Now we have to find a compromise. Serbia will never recognize Kosovo. That would not be a compromise and if continue insisting that Kosovo belongs to Serbia a compromise would not be possible,” >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Brnabic told German daily newspaper Die Welt.
She said relations with Pristina are difficult and emotional for Serbs and added that both sides have to get out of their comfort zone. “Pristina has not done that yet,” she said
.
“Serbia is ready to talk but we need a partner for that,” the Serbian Prime Minister said. Brnabic warned of the increasing number of attacks on Serbs in Kosovo which she sees as an indication “that Pristina’s intention might be the expulsion of all Serbs” which Serbia will not allow.
