Kosovo general denies Serbian President’s claims
Kosovo Security Forces chief, Lt General Rahman Rama on Wednesday denied claims by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that a Kosovo military would be formed on November 28.
Kosovo news portals quoted Rama as saying that the procedure required to form a military has to be completed by parliament first. “I saw that statement, but I have no information about when this will happen, that is a question for parliament >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << and I believe they know more about it. We are just the people who drafted the law, the decisions are taken by someone else,” Rama said, adding that the forming of a military is not just a question of timing.
Deputy Kosovo Security Forces Minister Agim Cheku confirmed that the decision is parliament’s and not linked to any specific date.
Serbian President Vucic said on Tuesday that he had received information that the authorities in Pristina would form a military force on November 28 when Albanians celebrate Albanian Flag Day.
