Kosovo PM says Serbia lobbying for border change

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj accused official Belgrade of financing the idea to change the borders of Kosovo and Serbia.

Speaking in the Albanian capital Tirana, Haradinaj said that Serbia financed the border change idea which he said met with support in Kosovo.

“Why should a debate be initiated since Serbia has invested money, made friends and lobbied to spread that idea among us as well. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Why should we face the division theory. I have not spoken enough to my people to show them where the truth lies,” Haradinaj said during a meeting with Albanian students.

Pristina daily Koha Ditore quoted him as saying that there can be no compromise over Kosovo’s territory. “The right to discuss territory and borders belongs only to the parliament of Kosovo,” the prime minister said.
