Arab air carrier won’t leave Serbia, President says
The Etihad airways of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), owing 49 percent of Air Serbia, will stay in the country, President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday.
He added he hoped that Air Serbia would improve its services not only at long distances but on other destinations as well and that it would raise the number of travellers.
“There is no reason for Etihad to leave Air Serbia which will have a profit again this year,” Vucic told journalists.

”Etihad entered Serbia’s national air company in 2013, with 49 percent of the ownership while the remaining part belongs to the state.
However, there have been a lot of reports suggesting that the UAE company might leave Serbia and that the deal between the Dubbai air carrier and Belgrade authorities was not good for Serbia.
