Serbia’s public debt at 49 percent of GDP, president says
Serbia’s public debt now stands at 49 percent of the GDP, President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday during a tour of the Bor and Majdanpek areas.
He expressed hope that the public debt will be lowered to 40 percent of the GDP, adding that it ranks third in Europe in terms of GDP growth.
Vucic said that Serbia has recorded a budget surplus for the third year in a row and has seen more foreign direct investments than any other Western Balkan country.
