Serbian minister meets Interpol chief

The Serbian police arrested 149 people on Interpol warrants this year, Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on Tuesday after a meeting with Interpol President Meng Hongwei.

Stefanovic added that 67 others had been arrested in the first eight months of this year under warrants issued by other countries.

Serbia intends to introduce more efficient procedures to improve its cooperation with other countries, primarily regional, and with Interpol whose >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << member states will soon receive a letter outlining why Kosovo should not be made a member of that international police organization.

Meng said Interpol wants to improve cooperation with Serbia as one of its key member states.
