Pride info centre opens in Belgrade

The Pride Info Centre opened in downtown Belgrade on Thursday, ahead of the Pride procession scheduled for September 16, but the Centre would be open for the next six months, N1 reported.

A week-long programme of this year's events in Belgrade starts on September 10.

The Centre aims to offer information to the LGBT, transgender persons and other citizens about the problems and demands of the sexual minorities.

The working hours will be every day from ten in >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << the morning to eight in the evening and will be guarded by the police.

Belgrade Pride has a turbulent history. From violent event to heavily protected walk and eventually to relatively regular activity.

Last year, for the first time, Serbia’s Prime Minister joined the walk.

Belgrade Pride 2018 will demand a law allowing same-sex marriages.
