Pensions to rise, Serbian president says
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that pensions would be raised as of October 2018.
“You will get higher pensions as of November 10 and that is good news for every pensioner in Serbia,” Vucic said during a visit to a retirement home in a Belgrade suburb. He said there is enough money in the budget to raise pensions.
The president said that law under which pensions were lowered would be abolished in the next “month or month and a half” and that pensions will be raised for the people with the lowest pensions as well.
Vucic said that salaries in the public sector would be increased as of December.
