Montenegro’s PM: No list of undesirable Serbia’s people
The Prime Minister of Montenegro said on Monday that there was no any list with names of Serbia’s citizens who would be banned from entering the coastal republic, the Beta news agency reported.
Dusko Markovic reacted to media speculations that the Serb Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Irinej was among those who would not be allowed to visit Montenegro.
“If there will be a need for such a list, and if there are justified reasons for it, we won’t hide it from the public,” >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << Markovic told reporters in the town of Zabljak on Mt. Durmitor.
The speculations about the list appeared after the announcement of Irinej’s visit since he had said that the position of the SPC in Montenegro was worse than during the Turkish occupation and compared the situation in which the Serbs live there with their status in the Nazi puppet state in Croatia during the WWII.
The statement caused outrage in Montenegro, and the officials demanded Irinej's apology, what he refused.
On Monday, he visited the monastery Vasilije Ostroski, another one in Cetinje, and a church in the capital of Podgorica, together with Patriarch Antioch and all the East John X.
