Vucic: Pristina to withdraw illegal decisions
The Belgrade-Pristina dialogue will continue after the authorities in Kosovo withdraw all the illegal decisions they have taken, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Brussels on Thursday evening.
“It’s clear that Serbia wants the dialogue but it will continue after Pristina withdraws all of its illegal decisions,” Vucic told the Serbian state TV (RTS) after meeting with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and European Union High Representative Federica Mogherini.

He said Serbia is facing a politically difficult time. “The Pristina authorities took a decision to raise tariffs on Serbian goods by 10 percent over the past few days, counter to to the CEFTA agreement, and the EU has condemned it but no one is getting worked up over it,” he said adding that the decision remains in effect and Pristina is now talking about setting up a military garrison in the north.
“How do you expect to get an agreement on anything when someone is threatening to send an army to the north, imposes 10 percent tariffs and violates the CEFTA agreement,” Vucic said.
The Serbian president said Europeans, not the Albanians, were trying to throw Serbia out of the power grid in northern Kosovo. “They are now trying to take away our right to transfer electricity, making us loose a power line to Macedonia, two to Albania and three to Montenegro,” he said. Vucic said that Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Croatia had spoken out against Serbia’s stand on the power grid while the countries which have not recognized Kosovo took its side.
