KFOR commander does not expect violence in Kosovo

Colonel Nick Ducic, outgoing commander of the US KFOR base Bondsteel, said he was not convinced the Pristina authorities would declare the formation of the Kosovo army on November 28, which is marked as Albania's Flag Day.

“I believe that, if the transition into the army of Kosovo is announced, they would do it on a less significant date than the Flag Day is. I also believe this would be coordinated with KFOR, >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << that they would plan it in an adequate way,” said Ducic, who is about to hand over the duty to a new commander.

“The task of KFOR and Kosovo police will certainly be to be well-positioned, to plan and coordinate,” said Ducic.
