Serbia's Minister: Abort all talks with Pristina
Nenad Popovic, Serbia’s Minister for Technological Innovations said on Tuesday that due to "new violence against the Serbs in Kosovo," Belgrade should suspend the dialogue with Pristina.
Earlier in the day, three Serbs were arrested when Kosovo police officers raided a culture centre in a village outside the eastern town of Gnjilane, the Serbian state TV >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << (RTS) reported, but the police later raised the number of arrests to five.
They were released after giving statements.
Popovic said in his statement that Belgrade should also reconsider all decisions that resulted from the implementation of the Brussels Agreement.
"We are dealing with dishonourable people who promise one thing and do the other. We should not put up with humiliation from Pristina any more,” Popovic added.
He said that Belgrade, with support from its international partners, should abort all negotiations with the separatists and focus on protecting the Serbs in Kosovo instead .”
"Today’s arrest of the Kosovo Serbs by the Albanian separatist authorities is an introduction into a new wave of violence against the Serb people,” Popovic said.
