Serbian minister reacts to Jeremic statement
Ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SRS) deputy leader and Internal Affairs Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic on Wednesday accused Popular Party leader Vuk Jeremic of involvement in a corruption affair.
“The people of Serbia should know that Vuk Jeremic is in the midst of one of the greatest corruption affairs at international level and how he got all that money from dubious sources, Stefanovic said in a press release issued after Jeremic’s appearance on N1 TV.
Jeremic told >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << N1 that the China Energy company whose boss was arrested on bribery charges in the US last November was a donor of his Center for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development but that their cooperation had nothing to do with Serbia.

Jeremic, a former Serbian Foreign Minister and President of the UN General Assembly, was accused earlier this week by President Aleksandar Vucic of heading what he said was “a serious international gang of thieves headed by Vuk Jeremic”. Vucic was commenting the arrest of two men on bribery charges in New York who are said to have been involved with Jeremic’s organization.
The only thing that is clear to everyone is that the millions of Euro gained through international crime ended up in the private accounts of Vuk Jeremic,"" Stefanovic said in his written statement as deputy leader of the SNS.
