Serbian hardware team wins Casemod World Series
Belgrade’s AXE-R team has become the first ever to win the Casemod World Series 2018 competition in both the Scratch and People’s Choice categories for a twin-section PC computer.
The jury decided that the AXE-R project was the best in Scratch which is considered to be the hardest of the four categories in the competition.

“We wanted to show that the PC as we all know it can be redefined,” the team said in a press release. A series of videos is also being broadcast on the PCAXE YouTube channel by the team “to show, in an interesting way, how the project developed and how anything can be achieved with commitment and hard work”.
The AXE-R is equipped with sensors monitoring all vital parameters, including humidity and air temperature. It is divided into a hardware and a cooling section which shut down automatically if cooling liquid leaks and opens for added cooling when temperatures are in optimum range. The computer needs a key to turn on and can’t be opened without a coded RF key.
