Serbian government stays in defence industry

The Serbian government has no intention of pulling out of the defence industry but will continue investing in that sector of the economy, Serbia’s Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Tuesday.

Speaking during a visit to Prva iskra namenska plant, Vulin said that the defence industry can work and trade with the entire world thanks to Serbia’s military neutrality. “The military neutrality policy allows us to buy and sell across the world and we can buy form any market and >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << sell on any market. That policy will continue,” he said.

The defence minister said that most of the countries in the region used to produce the explosives which they are now importing from Serbia. “That is why we can hope that the Serbian defence industry will have earning higher than 600 million Dollars this year,” Vulin said.
