Serb List MPs return to Kosovo parliament
Two Serb List MPs returned to the Kosovo Parliament on Friday, the media in Pristina reported saying that their presence at the session was proof that Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj had a successful meeting with the leaders of that Kosovo Serb political party.
Haradinaj met on Thursday with Serb List leader Goran Rakic and his deputy Milan Radojicic, drawing >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << criticism from opposition MP Armend Zemaj who claimed that both Serb politicians were involved in organized crime. Haradinaj said after the meeting that they discussed security and economic development.
The media reported that Parliament Deputy Speaker Slavko Simic and Serb List MP group chief Sasa Milosavljevic attended the session, sitting in seats normally occupied by MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and Social Democrat Initiative.
Democratic Union of Kosovo MPs walked out of the session earlier, demanding that the ruling coalition secure the presence of the required 61 MPs. The ruling coalition has only 51 seats in parliament.
Serb List MPs quit the ruling coalition following the arrest and expulsion from Kosovo of Serbian government Office for Kosovo chief Marko Djuric, moving to the opposition seats in parliament. Serb List ministers also “froze” their posts but did not resign.
