Palmer reported saying US supports Kosovo dialogue
US State Department official Matthew Palmer is reported on Tuesday to have offered Kosovo President Hashim Thaci assurances that Washington supports the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
A statement from the president’s cabinet quoted Thaci as saying that the US remain Kosovo’s greatest strategic partner “on its unstoppable path to European integration”.

Thaci told Palmer that a historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia should come now after the agreement between Macedonia and Greece. “It is a good moment to reach a historic agreement which secures mutual recognition of Kosovo and Serbia,” he is quoted as saying.
A press release from the Kosovo government said that Palmer and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj discussed the transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces into a military and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
