No exchange of territories, Serbian president says
There will be no exchange of territories between Serbia and Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday.
He said there can be no mention of an exchange of territories as proposed by the Kosovo president’s advisor Rexhep Hoti, he said. “That is not going to happen,” the Serbian president said.
In an interview to Kosovo web portal Lajmi.net, said that “division is not on the agenda”. >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << “That cannot happen without Kosovo taking the Sandzak area in Serbia and in Montenegro. It cannot happen without Kosovo taking the Presevo valley. There can be no separation of Vojvodina from Serbia. As you can see there are some small aspects that complicate the division of Kosovo," Hoti said in the interview.
The Sandzak is an area of western Serbia and northern Montenegro along the border with Bosnia which has a large Moslem and Bosniak population. The Presevo valley in southern Serbia has a large ethnic Albanian population.
