Speaking after what he said was a good debate in the EP Foreign Policy Committee on the situation in Serbia, McAllister said his impression was that Committee members have a positive view of the European integration process for Serbia.
He said it’s good that the results >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << of economic reforms are visible but warned that a lot remains to be done in rule of law, the independence of the judiciary, the fight against corruption and reform of the public administration.
McAllister said that the EP does not decide the number of chapters to be opened in pre-accession negotiations. “We would like to see as many chapters open as possible and maintain the dynamics in the process of Serbia’s accession,” he said.
