EIB to approve grants for Serbian railway projects
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is expected to approve grants for railway projects in eastern and southern Serbia, an EIB delegation said after a meeting with Serbia’s Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic.
The delegation, headed by EIB Western Balkans regional office chief Dubravka Negre, told the minister that funds would be approved for a rail ring road, part of the project to upgrade the Nis-Dimitrovgrad rail line and the Nis-Presevo-state >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu N1 televizija << border raile line.
“Serbia is preparing a new investment cycle for priority projects over the next few years,” Minister Mihajlovic said after the meeting.
Negre said the EIB is satisfied with its cooperation with the Serbian government and is interested in starting new projects in future.
