He found Godzilla, and now he is searching for the Attila’s grave in Serbia: American producer revealed what he “dug out” in our country (PHOTO) (VIDEO)

One of the biggest secrets of the Balkans is the grave of the Hunan military commander Attila, who was buried at the bottom of the river that nobody ever found . The search for it lasts as long as the legend lives, and the searchers are more persistent. One of the world's most famous producers, Jonathan Legg, who has been in Serbia for two weeks, has now tried to remove >> Pročitaj celu vest na sajtu Telegraf.rs << the veil of mystery. He discovered for Telegraf what he learned, and reminded us that he also found Godzilla at one time.

He waited for us on the Toplicki venac, the oldest part of Belgrade, which was created two centuries ago. Smiling and friendly from the first second - he immediately told us that he will stay in Belgrade for two more months, by the end of August. And that's what he looked like while we were approaching him. It's like this American already felt like home in Belgrade.

I asked him why will he spend the entire summer in the country that doesn't have the sea.

- I know, it even suits me well here - he said through laughter.

- Serbia is definitely my favorite destination in Europe now. You are the most hospitable people i ever met, that is why i have more friends here than in any other country i filmed - Legg reveals, and Maximilian Sperber, his cameramen agrees with him.

- Most of the people in the world are taking some defensive stance, they are afraid, they are scared of foreigners. My experience with Serbs is more than positive, because, as a people you are very open and gladly accept foreigners. I think that the entire world can learn from you  - adds the producer.

After few sentences, it is clear that after many Hollywood movies where Serbs have been represented as bad guys and terrorists, this will be the first time someone is presenting our country in positive light.

The show about Serbia will be broadcast at the end of the year on US television channel "Travel Channel", where Legg has a show "Road Less Traveled". And large part of it will be about search for the grave of Attila the Hun, known as the Whip of God.

- I do not want to ruin an episode that will be broadcast at the end of the year, and therefore I can not reveal if I found Attila's grave. But I can say that we have found many fascinating things wailing in incredible places in Belgrade. We went down to the Belgrade lagoons, incredible tunnels under the ground, about which the locals told us many legends - says Jonathan enthusiastically.

- We found some of those tunnels, and there are a lot more which should be discovered. I am not giving up on that - he adds.

Jonathan laughed his heart out when i said that it was obviously easier to find Godzilla in 2004 than Attila now.

- Yes, actually, it was much easier. Well, you know, i was in Tokyo and i got a small part in Japanese movie about Godzilla. It was interesting then, but i even forgot what it is about. I think i am a good actor, but not great. After the first episode of "Road Less Traveled" in 2011, i realized that this is my calling.

And here he is now in Belgrade, searching for Attila under Kalemegdan.

- We filmed in Nazi bunker, the last one that survived in this area, than in Tito's bunker, and few more interesting places i am sure you will like when you see the episode - said Jonathan.

Even though the Attila part will take the great part of the show, the crew of American Television wasn't immune to the other parts of Serbia.

- When we filmed in Eeast Serbia we chose a house at random. We didn't expect that the host will answer, call us and and we were talking about his wine cellars with the third wine already open during conversation -said Jonathan.

- There we heard an interesting legend about the first Ottoman ruler in Serbia who was very tolerant to alcohol manufacturing, until his son became an alcoholic. Then he burned down all the vineyards in these areas. But, taking in consideration the fertility of the region, the earth renewed, new fruits grew and now vines are made in Serbia once again. The ones that are going head to head with French ones - he said.

He stresses that the only difference between Serbian and French vine is that Serbia didn't penetrate to the market.

- I tried some of the best vines in my life. It is interesting that France imported vines from Serbia in Middle Ages, so they know that your vine is excellent, they just don't tell that to anybody, because they will lose their market.

As he said, French are not the only one fearing. Our rich history is a threat to Italian tourism.

- What left the greatest impression on me is the clash of civilizations on this territory. I think that Italians don't want everything about Roman history to be known because it involves Serbs, and it could drag away tourists. 18 Roman emperors were born on this territory, including Constantine the Great - speaks Jonathan as if he grew up here.

I realize now that, after spending only two weeks in Serbia, he became one of its great ambassadors, even though he came to our country without any previous knowledge about it.

- That is the beauty, to go into the country you know absolutely nothing, without the list of monuments you should see. Just let go for the country to guide you and to show itself to you. And its not the point to take a picture next to the Eiffel Tower and Louvre. The best moments in travels happen by accident - he explains.

- You missed the bus, you sat down in a cafe and started talking with the locals who invited you to their house and you made some friends. You connected to someone, and that is much more important than crossing a thing on your list. But, people are afraid to let go to adventure. If someone asked me if i wanted to go to the north pole, first i would think that i will be cold and that a bear will eat me, but yes, i would get up from my chair and i would go - he adds.

Precisely that is one of the secrets why the "Road Less Traveled" is so popular show. And now one of those episodes is being made in Serbia. Jonathan reveals that he has great "problem".

- We have a mountain of recorded material, because this is a very rich country where we have adventures on every step! You know, in East Serbia we found monasteries where they make brandy and vine, and that quite surprised me. You don't mix religion and alcohol production in America. But why not, Christ made water into vine? The best brandy in my life we had in one of yours monasteries - he said through laughter.

At the end he promises that he will learn Serbian language for the next two months. When he already speaks Mandarin, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and English, it is a shame not to learn the language of the country where he said that he has a lot of friends now.

In the next month he will chase for the most beautiful sunset in Belgrade, unusual dishes and catch those special features that are making this country.

It seems that he already captured the most beautiful sunset.
